Angolan engineers spend several weeks for knowledge transfer in Germany

At the beginning of 2023, MIBRAG Consulting International GmbH, together with ILV-Fernerkundung GmbH and other partner companies, has started work on a major dewatering project for the “Luele” open-cast diamond mine – currently one of the largest mining projects in Africa.

In addition to extensive engineering activities on site, training and knowledge transfer to the Angolan colleagues in Germany are also planned for the project, which represent an important milestone in the project implementation. As part of this, experts provided training to the Angolan delegation, consisting of 7 engineers, over a total period of 7 weeks in October and November 2023. The guests had the opportunity to visit not only the Central German mining area at MIBRAG GmbH, but also the Lusatian mining area at LEAG, as well as the technologies used there.

The focus was on topics relating to geological exploration, geotechnics, hydrogeological issues and specific measures for dewatering opencast mines. The knowledge communicated in numerous presentations were deepened in specialist discussions and demonstrated in practice during various open-cast mine visits.

MIBRAG Consulting International GmbH would like to thank all supporters and speakers for the successful implementation of the training course in Germany.
