Vietnamese delegation shows great interest in recultivation issues
At the beginning of December, a delegation of 16 Vietnamese politicians and scientists was invited to the Central German mining area on request of the Saxony-Anhalt state parliament.
Vietnam has a large number of opencast coal mines, particularly in the north (Halong Bay), which will be closed in the next few years.
Dr. Hendrik Lamert (CEO MIBRAG Consulting International GmbH) and Mr. Leif Wege (Head of Recultivation MIBRAG GmbH) gave an insight into international activities relating to recultivation issues and presented renaturation and after-use concepts of MIBRAG mines.
Visiting the Schleenhain opencast coal mine the guests were able to get an impression of the different renaturation projects.
We appreciate the interest shown by our Vietnamese partners and would like to thank them for the exchange of experiences.
