Study on overburden IPCC in a Kazakh gold mine
As a first project task, MIBRAG CI and the experts from LEAG (both companies belong to EP Holding) reviewed the hydrological, hydrogeological and geological data of the deposit and the development strategies provided by the client. In a next step, the team developed various scenarios for in-pit dumping, taking into account the requirements for gold production, the main mining equipment for an annual capacity of 15 million m³ as well as the necessary auxiliary equipment, infrastructure and staff.
Finally, a detailed economic analysis was carried out.
During the study, our experts visited the client several times in order to discuss interim and final results.
The project was successfully completed in April 2022.
